Keeping email working

Connecting a domain to Seenly doesn’t touch your existing email.

What we touch (and what we don’t)

Seenly only configures A and CNAME records on the apex and www. Your email lives on MX records, which we never modify. Whatever you have on Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoho Mail, ProtonMail, or your registrar’s default email forwarding keeps working untouched.

Confirming email still works

  1. 1After connecting your domain, wait 10 minutes.
  2. 2Send a test email from outside (Gmail account, phone) to your real address on the domain.
  3. 3If it arrives, you’re fine.
  4. 4If it bounces, double-check your MX records are still in your registrar’s DNS panel — sometimes a registrar nukes them when you re-enter the panel after a long gap.

Forwarding aliases (Premium)

Premium lets you add forwarding aliases like hello@yourshop.com → your real inbox. We receive on a Seenly-verified subdomain and forward to wherever you tell us. The self-serve UI for this is currently hidden while we automate domain verification — if you need an alias set up before then, write support@seenly.biz with the alias and destination.
