Troubleshooting DNS
Verify keeps failing, the site loads with a warning, or it just doesn’t work.
Verify is stuck
- An old A record on `@` is still pointing somewhere else — delete it.
- TTL on the old record was very long, so old DNS is still cached. Wait a couple of hours.
- Records were saved on a different subdomain than `@` — double-check the “Host” field.
- Cloudflare’s proxy is on — set both records to DNS-only (grey cloud).
Browser shows a security warning
SSL takes a minute or two to issue after DNS verifies. If it’s still warning after 10 minutes, hit Verify again — that pokes us to re-issue. If it persists, write us with the exact warning text.
yourshop.com works but www.yourshop.com doesn’t (or vice versa)
Only one of the two records made it through. Re-check your DNS panel — the missing one is either typo’d or pointing to a placeholder your registrar set up.
Email stopped working
If you re-entered your registrar’s DNS panel and deleted records too aggressively, you may have wiped your MX records. Look up your mail provider’s correct MX records and re-add them. Common providers have one-click presets — Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoho.
