Documents Stripe will ask for
A checklist so you’re not scrambling for a utility bill at 11pm.
Always
- Government-issued photo ID — driver’s license, state ID, or passport. Both sides if it’s a card.
- Bank account info — routing + account number. A void check works; so does your bank’s online portal.
- Tax ID — EIN if you have one, SSN otherwise.
- Business name and address that match your bank account.
Sometimes
- Proof of address — a recent utility bill, lease, or bank statement showing the same address you entered.
- EIN letter — the IRS-issued document showing your EIN. Common ask for LLCs and corps.
- Articles of organization — for LLCs, the formation document from your state.
- Beneficial owner ID — additional ID photo for anyone owning >25% of the business.
If Stripe wants something specific, the request will be the most prominent thing on the Payments page in Seenly until you clear it. Click that yellow banner — it deep-links you straight to whatever Stripe needs.
