If verification stalls

Common reasons Stripe pauses payouts, and how to clear them.

Reading the banner

If Stripe needs more info, the Payments page in Seenly shows a yellow “Action required” banner with the specific ask. Click it to jump straight to Stripe’s update form. Your customers can still pay during this period; the money just sits in your Stripe balance instead of paying out.

Common reasons & fixes

  • ID photo unclear — re-upload with better lighting; make sure all four corners are in frame.
  • Address mismatch — the address you entered doesn’t match your bank or utility bill. Update one or the other so they line up.
  • EIN not found — double-check the digits against your IRS letter; this is the most common typo.
  • Identity not verified — Stripe couldn’t match your ID to the name on file. Make sure the name is exactly as it appears on the ID (middle initial included).
  • Suspicious activity flag — usually triggered by a refund storm or a chargeback. Reply to Stripe’s email with context.

If Stripe rejects your account

Rare but possible — Stripe doesn’t support every industry. If you get a final rejection, write support@seenly.biz; we can help you wire up an alternative or work around it (for example, sending invoices without inline payment).
